This viola body length of 15 inches is on the small end of the viola spectrum of sizes. Despite its small size it has a rich, big sound and is capable of a nice range of subtle nuance. Top is straight, narrow-grain tone-wood spruce and the back has nicely flamed maple. Neck is slim making the instrument feel very easy to play. Varnish is tastefully shaded reddish-brown. It has Wittner Finetune pegs, a very light and comfortable Wittner tailpiece, and a Bois d'Harmonie tailpiece. It is easy to tune and easy to play. Suitable for an advancing student or adult amateur player.
