Rentals

I am no longer renting fractional instruments.

I have a few better fractional cellos for sale and quite a few violins in 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, & 3/4. Some fractional violas too. These are well cared for, previously rented instrument outfits that are very reasonably priced. If you do the math you will find it is much more cost effective to buy and re-sell, or trade in than to rent.

Full Size Rentals

  • Violin in 4/4 and 7/8 - $29/Month
  • Viola 15" to 16.5" - $35/Month
  • Cello 4/4 and 7/8 - $70/Month

  • Half of your payments can apply towards purchase of the rental instrument or a better one.
  • A credit card is charged monthly.
  • First four months are paid for when you fill out the rental agreement, then monthly after that.
  • Instruments are uninsured; you are fully responsible for it.
Each instrument goes out of the shop adjusted to perfection. My rental instruments are much better than what you will find elsewhere.
  • All of the setup is done by me, including pegs, bridge, sound post, fingerboard planing, nut adjustment, tailpiece, etc.
  • Only quality strings are used, typically Tonicas for violin and viola, and Aurora for cello.
  • Pegs are mechanical pegs with a sophisticated tuning mechanism that makes for far less frustration.
  • $600 worth of work and parts go into setting up a violin, cello is over $800.
